Denise Chung, Ph.D.

A native of the Philippines, Denise Chung received her BS in Management of Applied Chemistry from Ateneo de Manila University in 2001. After obtaining her PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Ohio University in 2004, Denise joined the Kuchroo Lab as lab manager. Denise's role as lab manager is unique in that she both manages general lab responsibilities as well as performs research projects. Working with the PI, Denise oversees the organization and follow-through of all lab activities. She also keeps track of the common cell lines, antibodies, and proteins. Currently, Denise is working with liCTLA4 transgenic mice on the NOD background. She is studying the effects of the liCTLA4 transgene on the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases. Denise is interested in studying the genetic basis of diseases and its application in the field of pharmacogenomics. |
