I am a native of India. Believe me, coming from the hot, sunny land of India
to the cold weathers of Boston was not a fun experience, but the work
environment gave me the warm feeling of being at home. It is a wonderful
atmosphere to learn in and to utilize one's potential.

I completed my undergraduate degree with honors in Microbiology from the
University of Pune, India. I received my degree in the Masters of Science,
Biotechnology, from India. I have also taken the national level entrance
exam for lectureship after my masters degree. Before accompanying my
husband to U.S.A. , I was working on Alternative Medicines and Osteoarthritis
at the Interactive Research School for Health Affairs, Pune, India. My work
was focused on regeneration of chondrocytes in cartilage tissue.

I joined the lab as a volunteer in January,2007 to work with Dr. Ana
Anderson and was officially hired in August,2007. I started working on the
Tim-3 project, with the emphasis on testing the monoclonal antibodies
against Tim-3 and studying on how the molecule regulates the Th1/Th2
responses. I am also working on genetic analysis of NOD.idd3 and NOD mouse
model with reference to EAE. We have started doing preliminary studies on
TCR Transgenic mouse on NOD background, developed by Dr. Ana Anderson.

My interest is in studying cellular mechanisms involved in T-cell response
in the course of normal and pathological conditions.
